CE Marking Legislation

'My product does not fall within the scope of any of the listed Directives; do I still need to CE mark my product?'

'No! It is illegal to incorrectly CE mark your product, or to do so when the product does not fall within the scope of any of the Directives listed..'

Regarding CE Marking for our GDI kit. Conclusion from experts are as follows:

  • Our GDI kit do not fall under LVD,EMC and RED because it was designed as a passive circuit (no power supply) that 'acts' like a filter and does not emit any electrical signal or EM wave on its own.

  • The product does not contain any microprocessor.

  • EMF shielded in all aluminium enclosure.

  • Further checking have found that the product does not fall within the scope of any of the other listed Directives.
